Scherzer (2-3) picked up the win Thursday against the White Sox, allowing one run on three hits and a walk across six innings. He struck out nine.
Manager Bruce Bochy said Tuesday that Scherzer (arm) will start Thursday's series finale against the White Sox, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.
Can be overpowering and downright nasty at times. Also has the stuff to intimidate batters consistently with strikeouts. Has a great pitchers' frame. Has learned how to become a big winner in MLB. Gets into trouble when he loses focus and the command of his fastball, which can lead to too many walks. Must avoid the big inning against him. Has the tendency to surrender a few too many homers.
