Reed signed with the Rays as a non-roster invitee Tuesday, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.
Owns an ideal pitchers' frame, a tremendous fastball and excellent slider. Can be dominant on the bump, especially versus left-handed batters due to his low arm slot and deceptive delivery. Can be prone to wildness, so he must curb his penchant for walks in order to maximize output against big-league batters. At times, he must learn when not to challenge hitters (too many HR's).
Long Range Potential: Talented, power left-hander with upside.
