Scouting Report
A great receiver and team-first player, he called a good game and brought plenty of leadership to the field every day. His defense was exemplary. Drew walks because his pitch recognition was outstanding. Lacked the natural hitting talent normally associated with starting catchers in Major League Baseball, which is why he never reached that status. Also lacked home-run power by today's standards in MLB.
