Bellinger exercised his $27.5 million player option for 2025 on Saturday, Kiley McDaniel of ESPN.com reports.
Bellinger is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.
Owns excellent hitting skills, plate patience and the ability to drive in runs. His home-run power is burgeoning and he also displays defensive versatility (he can play an outfield corner, as well as first base). Must continue to work on his game-to-game consistency at the dish. Must also prove himself against tough left-handed pitchers in Major League Baseball in order to maximize his vast hitting potential.
Long Range Potential: Excellent, versatile left-handed slugger with upside.
