Slater (hamstring) was again held out of all workouts Tuesday in Giants camp, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Has good size, so he projects to become a fairly solid home-run hitter (especially in the minor leagues). Can also hit for average. His walks rate is also a strength of his for the big leagues. Is not much of a base-stealing threat, so he needs to start showing greater power at all levels in order to maximize playing time in Major League Baseball. Is not an elite athlete, either.
Long Range Potential: Backup outfielder.
