The Colts will sign Sanchez to a three-year contract, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
Sanchez didn't participate in the Colts' offseason practices, but he did do some punting on the rehab fields, Mike Chappell of FOX59 reports.
An up-and-coming member of the kicking fraternity, he drops laser-guided punts inside the 20 and smothers the return game with deft touch and accuracy. Signed as an undrafted free agent, he set a league rookie record for net punting average. Generates booming power from a median build; he emphasizes precision over distance. Has worked to successfully lower his touchback rate over time. Also excels on kickoffs and can pound the ball into the end zone. On the down side, he is something of a "fair weather" kicker and has seldom dealt with foul elements due to the benefits of a home-field dome.
Long Range Potential: Efficient, reliable punter and kickoff specialist.
