The 49ers signed Lucas to a one-year deal Friday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Scouting Report
The slender cornerback can be successful in zone coverages, where he can see routes develop (and where his lack of strength and deep speed will not matter nearly as much). Has the traits to make plays on the ball, but lacks the recovery speed to make up ground. Is good at reacting to what he sees in the run game but has to improve at fighting through blocks.
Long Range Potential: Developmental cornerback.
