Thomas (foot) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Giants head coach Brian Daboll said Wednesday that Thomas (foot) has undergone season-ending surgery foot injury sustained during the team's Week 6 loss to the Bengals.
He is custom-built for run blocking excellence with the frame, length and grip strength to manhandle defenders at the point of attack. Exhibited sheer dominance at the college level as a three-year starter in a pro-style offense. Augments his natural power with belligerence. Can line up at either tackle position. Is also proficient in pass protection; his wingspan is an equalizer against the quickest edge rushers. However, he will need to upgrade his footwork for the pros.
Long Range Potential: Solid, reliable offensive tackle with upside.
