Scouting Report
Used his superior hockey intelligence and skill to dominate the game. An outstanding passer, he also had an incredibly accurate shot from the point. Played a calm and very efficient game in the defensive zone. Thrived with lots of ice time. Was also a great lateral skater. Was not a physical player by any stretch of the imagination, which limited his level of defensive dominance. Started to wear down a little bit towards the end of his brilliant career because of years of logging tons of ice time for the Red Wings.
Long Range Potential: One of the all-time great NHL defensemen.
