Giordano will be a healthy scratch in Ottawa on Saturday, Luke Fox of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Giordano notched an assist, five shots on goal and two hits in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Bruins.
Remains a solid NHL defenseman and valuable leader as he nears the end of his 30s. He still skates well and can move the puck. Plays in all situations and can still devour ice time, and he has the kind of all-around game teams can build around. He does the right things, game in and game out. Is a play driver who is composed and patient with the puck on his stick, as well as one of the best leaders in the NHL.
Long Range Potential: Veteran all-around defenseman and leader.
