Was very confident in his propensity to throw open-ice hits, as well as his ability to rush with the puck from the back end. Displayed solid offensive ability at the NHL level. His defensive-zone coverage was lacking, as well as his decision-making skills when going for the big body check. Injuries (especially a concussion late) ended his career.
