Was an incredible athlete and superb skater. Owned offensive ability, including a good point shot, but was also capable of playing in all game situations. Could log huge minutes at the NHL level. Was a bit inconsistent in the physical department, despite enough bulk to get the job done. Also lacked ideal hockey sense, especially in terms of making plays in the offensive zone. However, as he gained more NHL experience he became far more reliable and savvy (with and without the puck).
