Andersson signed a one-year, two-way contract with Montreal on Sunday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Scouting Report
The Swedish forward has had a rocky time since he was selected No. 7 in the 2017 NHL Draft. He is a tenacious checker but does not contribute a lot physically, despite good lower-body strength. Is not great in puck possession and can also struggle in the face-off circle, so he is probably better off on the wing than at center.
Long Range Potential: Inconsistent, versatile forward.
