Swanson is absent from the lineup Wednesday versus the Padres due to a right knee issue, Jesse Rogers of ESPN.com reports.
An all-around talent, he displays good patience at the plate and makes solid, consistent contact a the dish. Is also a very good athlete with a good glove and outstanding instincts for the game of baseball. His power is developing. While a good runner, he does not own blazing speed and is not an impact stolen-base threat. Also, his arm strength is only average, so he might be better off at second base than as a shortstop over the long run.
Long Range Potential: Talented, all-round infielder with upside.
