Allen and the Jaguars agreed to terms Wednesday on a five-year, $150 million contract, Nick Shook of NFL.com reports.
The Jaguars have officially placed their franchise tag on Allen ahead of Tuesday's 4:00 p.m. ET deadline.
A versatile and explosive pass rush specialist who can sack and strip. He vaulted into first-round draft territory after a sensational senior year in college, garnering a bevy of awards and honors as an elite rush-end linebacker with record-setting metrics. An exceptional combination of size, strength and quickness allows him to beat blockers on the edge and disrupt plays in the backfield. Is always conscious of the takeaway and strives for turnovers. Must improve his discipline in order to play defensive end in a traditional 4-3 defense; needs to expand his catalog of moves and fully leverage his talent.
