Bleier signed a minor-league contract with the Nationals on Thursday, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.
Scouting Report
Owns a big frame (6'3", 215 pounds) and the ability to pitch as either a starter or reliever in the minor leagues. Is crafty and rarely gives into hitters. Can be a bit too hittable, even in the minors, which does not bode well for his prospects in Major League Baseball. Lacks a true strikeout pitch.
Long Range Potential: Versatile left-hander.
