Hill (4-3) earned the win Wednesday, allowing one hit and two walks over six scoreless innings against the Tigers. He struck out seven.
Hill did not factor into the decision Wednesday, allowing three runs (one earned) on four hits and two walks over 3.2 innings against the Rockies. He struck out four.
Has some nasty stuff, including a low-90's fastball that he combines with a good curve and changeup. Can drop down in his delivery effectively versus left-handed batters, making him rather deceptive. Has trouble commanding his pitches from time to time, and he also puts too many batters on base with free passes when struggling. Needs to improve his stamina. Injuries have been a big problem.
Long Range Potential: Quality veteran left-hander, when healthy.
