Stroman (2-1) picked up the win Tuesday, giving up three runs on seven hits and a walk over 5.1 innings in a 4-3 win over the A's. He struck out nine.
Stroman (1-0) did not factor into the decision Friday against the Blue Jays, allowing three hits and one walk over six scoreless innings. He struck out six.
Has outstanding swing-and-miss ability, especially due to his exceptional slider. Also throws a heavy fastball, good cutter and changeup. Deception also helps him get outs consistently in MLB. At 5-7, 180 pounds, he is significantly undersized for a starting pitcher in MLB. Therefore, injuries and an overall lack of stamina can be issues for him. Also, sometimes he lets his emotions get the better of him.
