Leone (elbow) is scheduled to make a rehab outing with Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday, MLB.com reports.
Leone (elbow) is expected to pitch for Triple-A Charlotte within the next day or two, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
A quality reliever with good stuff and swing-and-miss ability, he has an explosive fastball and quality slider. Also throws an effective cutter. His control is also a major asset. At 5-11, 210 pounds, he's hardly an ideal candidate for closer duties. Also, he must prove that his stuff is good enough to routinely dominate big-league batters, which isn't easy.
Long Range Potential: Decent reliever with a little upside.
