Diaz signed a minor-league contract with the Astros on Saturday, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.
Scouting Report
Boasts an impressive glove for the shortstop position, plus a very projectable frame. Also displays a quality, contact-hitting bat with some power and plenty of bat control. Still needs to become even more disciplined, both at the plate and in the field, in order to maximize output in the big leagues. Could also stand to run a little more when on base.
Long Range Potential: Solid, versatile infielder.
