Muncy (oblique) took soft toss Thursday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Friday that Muncy (oblique) is still not swinging a bat and is unlikely to return to the team until at least August, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Has tremendous strike-zone judgment and discipline, so he usually walks a ton (and features a solid walk/strikeout ratio). Has the versatility to play both in the outfield and infield, which adds value. Lacks optimum home run power for Major League Baseball. Also, he is not the most athletic player on the field and does not run particularly well. Must prove he can hit left-handed pitching in the big leagues.
Long Range Potential: Versatile left-handed batter.
