Carlson (ankle) was transferred Friday from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day injured list.
Carlson underwent scheduled surgery Wednesday on his left ankle, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
Cerebral, versatile, and mature beyond his years this switch-hitting outfielder is a natural fit at any spot in the lineup. A well-rounded offensive skill set that includes an innate knowledge of the strike zone, quick pitch recognition, and just enough raw power, provides him with a plethora of on-base opportunities. Not afraid to be aggressive with his speed he looks to steal bases or take the extra base whenever he can. His high baseball IQ, pinpoint accuracy, and defensive instincts mean he can be a dependable contributor at any outfield position.
