Chirinos signed a minor-league contract with the Marlins on Tuesday, which includes an invitation to spring training, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Scouting Report
Owns a projectable (6-2) frame and the ability to pitch both as a starter or out of the bullpen in the minor leagues. Generally throws a lot of strikes. Needs to fill out his frame. Does not have a dominant strikeout pitch, which could be an issue against better hitters in Major League Baseball.
Long Range Potential: Versatile right-hander with some upside.
