Romano (elbow) has begun throwing on flat ground from 60 feet, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Blue Jays manager John Schneider said Friday that Romano (elbow) is "progressing well" and is "feeling good" following his July 3 arthroscopic surgery, but the right-hander has yet to restart a throwing program, MLB.com reports.
Can pitch either as a reliever or starter, which adds to his overall value in MLB. Owns an outstanding slider, which he uses as his true out-pitch. Injuries and a lack of stamina are at the root of his issues, so he is a bit of a late bloomer. Needs to improve his fastball command (and stay healthy) to maximize output in MLB.
Long Range Potential: Versatile right-hander with some upside, when healthy.
