Takitaki has been playing as one of three starting linebackers in Cleveland's base defense during mandatory minicamp, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.
Takitaki (shoulder) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday.
The hard-hitting linebacker idolized players like Hall of Famers Ray Lewis and Junior Seau, but still needs improvement playing in space, getting his angles right and using proper tackling techniques. He plays proactively against the run and tends to be faster on the field than he is when timed with a stopwatch. He helps himself by being a core special-teams player, too.
Long Range Potential: Situational linebacker and useful special teams player.
