The Patriots officially placed Jones (shoulder) on injured reserve Friday.
Jones (shoulder) suffered a torn labrum and he's expected to be placed on in-season injured reserve, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.
He is a bit undersized as a slot corner but compensates with playmaking talents--and he can be a game-changing return man. As a defensive back he has to play with more discipline and anticipation on pass routes, rather than rely solely on his athleticism. As a returner, he is a threat to go all the way when he gets the ball in his hands. Could earn snaps as a wideout due to his playmaking chops.
Long Range Potential: Undersized cornerback and dynamic return man.
