Coach Jerod Mayo noted ahead of Sunday's game against the Dolphins that having Antonio Gibson start over Stevenson is "under consideration" due to Stevenson's fumbling issues, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.
Stevenson rushed 25 times for 120 yards and a touchdown while bringing in all three targets for six yards in the Patriots' 16-10 win over the Bengals on Sunday. He also recovered a fumble.
Is a wrecking ball of a runner who did not carry a big load in college football, meaning he has less mileage on him than many other running backs. His size and running style can take a toll on opposing defenses as the game wears on. He is at his best when running downhill, and less effective when defenses force him to go sideline to sideline.
