Wiesblatt signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Predators on Friday.
Nashville obtained Wiesblatt from San Jose on Sunday in exchange for Egor Afanasyev.
Plays bigger than his size, and he is still growing, which bodes well for his ability to translate the physical elements of his game to the pro level. Skates well and is also a prolific playmaking winger with a lot of dynamic qualities. Can also score goals, though he is a better passer than a shooter. Could play any role on a pro hockey team, which adds to his overall value to NHL scouts. Enjoyed a lot of success in the junior ranks, both individually and with his Western Hockey League team.
Long Range Potential: Quality offensive winger with upside.
