Sorokin allowed three goals on 14 shots before he was replaced by Semyon Varlamov in the second period of Thursday's 3-2 loss to Carolina.
Sorokin is set to start at home against Carolina on Thursday, per Andrew Gross of Newsday.
Is an athletic netminder who excelled in the KHL and won a league championship before arriving in North America. Extremely flexible, he never gives up on a play and can steal games for his team. He is still getting used to the smaller rinks in the NHL and will need to get stronger to make the most of his ability. Is occasionally prone to overplaying shots and winding up out of position.
