Kalynuk signed a one-year, two-way contract with St. Louis on Saturday.
Scouting Report
A late-round draft pick in 2017, he was never signed to a National Hockey League deal before becoming a free agent and (eventually) landing his first entry-level contract. Was an offensive star at the University of Wisconsin, but he projects as more of a depth puck mover at the highest level (mostly because of some defensive shortcomings). Could also stand to add more bulk to his frame.
Long Range Potential: Puck-moving defenseman with a little upside.
