Lockwood (undisclosed) was put on waivers Friday, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
Lockwood, Mackie Samoskevich, Justin Sourdif, Rasmus Asplund, Matt Kiersted, Michael Benning and Magnus Hellberg were recalled from AHL Charlotte on Sunday, Colby Guy of Florida Hockey Now reports.
The speedy forward plays a feisty game and is more than willing to use his body to make a play, despite his comparative lack of size. He took the long route to the NHL, including four years of college hockey and plenty of time in the AHL. Can be used as a penalty-killing forward because he works hard and defends well.
Long Range Potential: Speedy defensive forward.
