Underwood signed a minor-league contract with the Yankees on Thursday and received an invitation to major-league spring training, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.
Scouting Report
Owns a very good fastball, complete with good movement. Commands his heater with aplomb. Also possesses quality support pitches (curve and changeup). Needs to continue to work on setting hitters up, especially with his off-speed stuff. Injuries can be an issue here. Needs to pitch with greater consistency, as well.
Long Range Potential: Depth right-hander.
