Jansen worked a perfect ninth inning Friday to record his fifth save of the season in a 2-0 win over the Giants. He didn't walk or strike out a batter.
Jansen (shoulder) will make his spring debut Saturday against the Athletics, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports
Has a tremendous frame and a great arm. His overall pitching arsenal produces big strikeout totals. Dominates on the mound, so he is rather equipped to pitch late in games. Needs to keep his walks total down, and also maintain his composure, in order to maximize his late-inning output. Is still a bit raw as a pitcher, since he's a converted catcher.
Long Range Potential: Dominant late-inning reliever.
