Thompson was outrighted to Triple-A Iowa on Thursday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
Scouting Report
A very toolsy outfielder, he has the ability to hit for power and steal bases. Also, he can cover the ground in center field and has great defensive awareness. Is the owner of a very long swing, so he strikes out a fair amount. He will need to curb that tendency in order to maximize output in Major League Baseball.
