Gallen (11-6) picked up the win over the Giants on Wednesday, allowing four walks and no hits over six shutout innings. He struck out eight.
Gallen (9-6) took the loss Saturday as the Diamondbacks were downed 6-1 by the Rays, giving up four runs on nine hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out three.
A four-pitch hurler, he boasts an excellent cutter, quality fastball and solid off-speed offerings (changeup and curve). Also displays great command of his weapons and pinpoint control. Also owns a very projectable frame, though he will need to fill out completely in order to maximize his durability at the highest level.
Long Range Potential: Talented right-hander with upside.
