Allen signed a minor-league contract with the Yankees on Tuesday that includes an invitation to spring training, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.
Scouting Report
Owns the speed to cover the ground in center field, and steal plenty of bases in the process. The fact he is a switch-hitter helps his cause to become an everyday player. Lacks home-run power in a big way, and he does not play with a lot of consistency. Will need to improve his on-base skills and reduce his number of strikeouts in MLB.
Long Range Potential: Speedy outfielder.
