Suarez did not factor into the decision in a loss to the Astros on Thursday, allowing one unearned run on three hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out five.
Suarez is scheduled to start Thursday's game against the Astros, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Is a true pitcher with a savvy approach. Has a solid, three-pitch repertoire: fastball, changeup and curve. Is also improving his ability to strike batters out as he matures. Is significantly undersized (5-10, 170 pounds) for a starting pitcher, so he needs to continue to add bulk and get physically stronger in order to maximize output in MLB.
Long Range Potential: Talented, savvy left-hander with good upside.
