Lawson (Achilles) said Wednesday that he expects to be back for training camp, Connor Hughes of The Athletic reports.
Coach Robert Saleh said Monday he expects Lawson (Achilles) to be ready for the start of training camp.
An above-average source of sacks who has a knack for getting past blockers. A true powerhouse in the strength department and can manhandle opponents. Gets a good push off the snap, and has enough straight-line speed to succeed as an NFL end. Also solid as a leaper, giving him upside in pass disruption. Can be a more prolific and powerful tackler, especially considering his above-average ability as a pass rusher. Not ideally-sized overall for the NFL end position, which hurts his positional versatility.
Long Range Potential: Starter-level defensive end.
