Pittman caught four of eight targets for 31 yards in Sunday's 29-27 loss to the Texans.
Coach Shane Steichen relayed earlier this week that the Colts plan to play their starters -- a group that would include Pittman -- for about a quarter and a half in Thursday's preseason finale against the Bengals, JJ Stankevitz of the team's official site reports.
The son of an accomplished NFL running back, he has the physical traits and football intellect to defeat coverage at the top level. An imposing frame and play strength are major assets on high traffic routes and contested sideline throws. Exhibits sticky hands and an expansive catch radius; he can high-point the ball at will. A long strider with impressive straight-line speed, he commands priority status in the red zone. Average agility and a lack of short-area quickness hamper his ability to create separation and may restrict his yards after the catch.
Long Range Potential: Productive wide receiver with playmaking qualities.
