Brown (shoulder) has been placed on IR by the Chiefs.
Chiefs Vice President of Sports Medicine and Performance Rick Burkholder said Friday that Brown (shoulder) is scheduled to undergo surgery Monday and that he is without a timetable to return, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports.
His nickname "Hollywood" pretty much says it all. A diminutive speedster, he is a legitimate deep threat that can take the top off the defense and make receptions on the fly. Runs through the catch and is equipped with an extra gear to separate from defenders and win footraces; his quick feet and general elusiveness make him hard to jam at the line. Can tip-toe the sideline and turn short-range receptions into gash plays. Is a bit too slight to win contested throws. Could be susceptible to big hits and his long-term durability is questionable.
Long Range Potential: Talented, big-play deep threat wide receiver with good upside.
