Ruckert caught one of three targets for 12 yards in Sunday's 32-25 win over the Jaguars.
Ruckert is expected to serve as the Jets' starting tight end in Sunday's game against the Jaguars with Tyler Conklin (personal) ruled out for the contest, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
He has ideal size, strength and speed for an NFL tight end. Is an aggressive blocker who can act like a third tackle, though he has to show more consistency. Can catch anything thrown his way. However, there is not a lot of explosiveness in his game on deeper routes, which can limit him as a receiver. Will also have to improve his work coming out of breaks to escape defenders.
Long Range Potential: Toolsy tight end with upside.
