Scouting Report
Was smart, mature and instinctive behind center. A leader, he was tough and dedicated. Possessed a great arm with nice mechanics, and was a good touch passer. Brought ideal height for the quarterback position at the NFL level. Was also fundamentally sound. Was not afraid to go for the deep pass regularly. Forced some passes and tried to do too much on occasion, which led to some interceptions. Was somewhat streaky, too. Lacked top-shelf athleticism and did not make many plays with his feet.
Long Range Potential: Excellent, durable quarterback.
