Martin (ankle) was placed on injured reserve Monday.
Owner Jerry Jones said Friday that Martin's ankle injury "shouldn't be viewed as [the] end to his playing [career] at all...it should be viewed as the remainder of this season, and only that," Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
A polished performer with excellent blocking fundamentals. Mobile, athletic, and does a great job mirroring his opponent in the pass protection game. Has the footwork and agility to get out to the second level as a run-blocker. Durable, mature, hard-working and professional. Not quite ideally-sized for the offensive tackle spot. While mobile, he's not explosive off the snap, especially in the run-blocking game. Doesn't have the massive hands or wingspan to maul great edge rushers. May be best suited to guard.
Long Range Potential: Excellent guard.
