Smith completed 32 of 41 passes for 328 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Seahawks' 37-31 overtime win over the Lions on Sunday. He also rushed three times for 20 yards.
Smith isn't dressed to play in Saturday's preseason game against the Packers, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
Impressively accurate as a passer and doesn't throw a lot of interceptions. Well-sized for the position, gets good zip on all his throws, and has enough of an arm to be a regular deep threat. Very athletic and can make plays with his feet. Takes charge of the offense. Too often forces the action, either with run plays or with his targets. While elusive in the pocket he sometimes takes too long to get rid of the ball. Can get sack-prone. Doesn't always make the most of his exceptional mobility and very good arm.
Long Range Potential: Athletic, streaky quarterback with some starter ability.
