Sandstrom will guard the home crease in Monday's preseason game against the Red Wings, according to Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News.
Scouting Report
The third-round draft pick in the 2015 draft has battled through the ECHL and AHL after arriving in North America from Sweden, where he helped Brynas reach the SHL finals. He has projectable size but needs to add more strength. Is still getting used to the smaller ice rinks.
Long Range Potential: Organizational depth goaltender.
