Caulfield was traded from the Penguins to the Ducks in exchange for Thimo Nickl on Friday.
A hulking forward who can play both right wing and center, he is a tenacious player both on and off the puck. While not a natural point producer or high-end offensive talent, he gets his points because of hard work (typically around the crease area). His ability to check and win board battles should keep him around in the NHL for a long time. However, his offensive limitations may seal his fate as a bottom-six forward at the highest level.
Long Range Potential: Big, versatile forward with some upside.
