Kahkonen is expected to start on the road against Philadelphia on Saturday, per Catherine Bogart of the Devils' official site.
Kahkonen (lower body) will serve as the back up for Thursday's road game versus Toronto, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.
Is a great competitor and will never give up on a shot. Never gets too high or too low, either. Can step in at a moment's notice and give his team a winning effort. He has the kind of size NHL teams want in their goalkeepers, and is very athletic with fine lateral movement. He is becoming more consistent as he becomes more accustomed to the smaller NHL rinks.
Long Range Potential: Solid goaltender with some upside.
