Calhoun will serve as the Angels' designated hitter and cleanup batter in Sunday's game against the Guardians.
Calhoun went 3-for-4 with a double and a run Friday in a 6-0 win against the Guardians.
Is an excellent hitter who generates good power, despite a smallish frame. Polished, he makes consistent contact and is a great batter for average. Can play several positions in the field too, which adds to his overall value. He does not really have a position to call his own, and might have to settle for left field in the big leagues due to questionable hands and average arm strength. Also, he does not have the speed to steal many bases.
Long Range Potential: Excellent, all-round hitter with good upside.
