Bednar (3-8) was charged with a blown save and took the loss against the Cardinals on Wednesday, allowing three runs (two earned) on one hit and one walk over one-third of an inning.
Bednar allowed one unearned run on two hits while striking out two across 0.2 innings Wednesday against the Marlins.
Has excellent stuff, so he can strike out a plethora of batters in the minor leagues. It also enables him to serve as a closer at lower levels. Can be hurt by the long ball, so he needs to curb that tendency if he is to become a solid option for high-leverage situations in Major League Baseball.
Long Range Potential: Talented reliever with some upside.
