Pelicans executive David Griffin said Friday that Williamson (hamstring) was never cleared for 5-on-5 or even full-court 3-on-3 work before the Pelicans' Play-In Matchup against the Thunder, Andrew Lopez of ESPN.com reports.
The Pelicans don't believe Williamson (hamstring) is close to returning to game action, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
A genetic freak of nature built like an NFL defensive end, he has exceptional athleticism at his size. A master dunker, he also displays a smooth, left-handed mid-range stroke and great passing skills. He can be a terror in the low-post like a true big man, or slash through defenses like a small forward.
